This Region has a vast and diversified cultural and historical legacy that will fascinate you. Come and discover values and emotions and live an unforgettable experience. We shall visit the Sanctuary of Fatima, which welcomes pilgrims and tourists from all over the world, as it is one of the most revered catholic sites in the world. The tour continues to the Dominican Monastery of Batalha, ordered by King D. João I in 1386 in thankfulness to the Virgin Mary for the victory in the battlefield of Aljubarrota; the Monastery of Alcobaça, which began being built in 1178 by the monks of Cister and is the first completely Gothic building ever to be built in Portugal. Both the Batalha and the Alcobaça monasteries are presently UNESCO’s world cultural heritage sites. After lunch we visit Nazaré. We shall visit the precious village of Óbidos, taken from the Moors in 1148 and established under king D. Sancho I in 1195; due to its charm and beauty, Obidos has been included in the dowry of numerous Portuguese Queens throughout the centuries .

Ach ja, Obidos. Dieses Juwel direkt am Atlantik. Ich wollte mir die Stadt und ihre Provinz schon seit Langem mal anschauen. Letzen Sommer bin ich endlich dazu gekommen. Alle meine Erwartungen wurden erfüllt und sogar noch übertroffen!

Wir wollten ursprünglich einen ruhigen Strandurlaub in der Nähe von Obidos verbringen. Doch, ein bisschen Bildung schadet nicht, haben wir uns gedacht und uns dann für diese Tour entschieden. Ein durchaus gelungener Tagesausflug, mit vielen historischen Eindrücken und einem tollen Service. Es war einfach ein schöner Tag.

Obidos war für mich der perfekte Ort, um einfach mal von allem abzuschalten! Der Stress von der Arbeit ist mir nach kurzer Zeit einfach von den Schultern gefallen. Einer der schönsten Tagesausflüge, die ich jeh erlebt habe! Und sorry wegen dem Fehler bei der Sterne Wertung
